The Business Intelligence Manager performs analysis and leads a team of analysts who perform analytics on new and existing initiatives which support various growth initiatives of the company. The analysis is used to help further our understanding of current and future customer base; the analysis is used to help improve key performance metrics of the organization. The position is in the Chief Risk Officer department, reporting to the SVP, Growth Optimization. Within the Growth Optimization team, the role interacts with the Scoring/Modeling area, the Loan Originations area, and the Implementation area. The role also interacts with our Credit Portfolio Risk team, our Risk MIS team, as well as our Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT and Digital teams.
The role conducts thoughtful and actionable analysis supporting various initiatives of the company. The analytics include marketing analytics, digital analytics, and branch analytics. The role leads, mentors and provides guidance to not only the three analysts who are direct reports, but also to other members of the department.

▪5 - 7 years of risk management or portfolio reporting experience within a Financial Services Organization
▪Master’s Degree in Business Management with focus on Mathematics/Statistics or related fields.
▪Experience with very large databases and/or data warehousing
▪Experience with working on large scale project teams and driving tasks to completion
▪Sound working of SAS or other computing languages used for statistical analysis. Expert skill level with Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, and Microsoft Access
▪Analytic thinker with keen business insights supporting senior teams in driving efficient management of existing business, identification and evaluation of new strategic ideas and incorporation of new techniques to improve organizational effectiveness
▪Demonstrates technical expertise with a good understanding of financial products, industry-specific Risk and Analytics tools and associated risks.
▪Engages and partners with senior leadership to understand the needs of the business and ensure successful implementation of policy and strategy changes.
▪Ability to support senior management teams to accomplish company initiatives.
▪Maintains strong working relationship on an ongoing basis with functional and business partners.
▪Must have the capability to clearly communicate complex analyses to both internal and external partners. Strong problem solving/analytical skills enabling resolution of issues with ability to propose and support the implementation of alternative solutions and support in execution.
▪Effectively manages and develops others in the team; provides candid and honest feedback on an on-going basis.
▪Effectively interacts with and presents recommendations to all levels of management including Senior Management team and Field Operations Management.
▪Supports the creation and delivery of innovative solutions to support best in class risk management.
▪Creates and produces reports/analysis for tracking sourcing and performance used for setting business direction and for portfolio policy changes.
▪Provide strategic recommendations based on observations of key business indicators and trends.
▪Keep informed of industry and regulatory trends, and the consequent impact on business. Provide recommendations to stay abreast of industry changes.
