Purpose of Job: Completion of reconciliation, accounting and reporting activities. The successful candidate will be required to support and process various aspects in the day to day managing of the accounting team which handles the treatment of various types of transactions.

Responsibilities

▪Completion of monthly journal entries;
▪Daily review of trial balance for unusual activity;
▪Completion of monthly reconciliations;
▪Assist in the preparation of Fairstone. financial statements
▪Ensure compliance with Fairstone processes such as account ownership and self-assessment;
▪Participation in operational and financial reporting audits;
▪Documentation of procedures, identifying key risks and controls;
▪Participation in ad hoc projects as required.

Job Qualifications

Specific Requirements:

▪University graduate;
▪Accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent;
▪Experience working at a large financial institution and a multinational corporation.
▪Experience  in the financial services industry an asset;
▪Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
▪Excellent organization and communication skills
▪Knowledge of corporate and indirect tax is an asset
▪Logical thinker and detail oriented
▪Team player
