The Analyst – Financial reporting will support Fairstone business vision in the following areas: 

▪Managing financial IT resources
▪Managing reporting of KPIs

Position Responsibilities:

▪Resolves moderately complex business planning problems / projects for the business unit supported
▪Establishes dashboards and tracks business unit performance against the IT business plan and service level agreements; identifies gaps
▪Creates and prepares reports, metrics and presentations 
▪Primary contact and coordinator for Applications Records Management and performance of the various Cobit processes
▪Review and comment IT non-compliance items and ensure resolutions with appropriate teams
▪Assess processes maturity levels, conduct review of process documentation and reports, and prepare IT governance and compliance report assessments
▪Evolves tools (time management, project management and others) to ensure the quality of information and to ensure the production of reports
▪Analyzes monthly financial results and explains variances
▪Contributes to and / or creates internal communications 
▪Utilizes good understanding of procedures and concepts in own area and basic knowledge of other technical areas 
▪Applies good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing objectives 
▪Makes evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information; resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents 
▪Directly impacts the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams 
▪Exchanges ideas and information in a concise and logical manner

Job Qualifications

▪Bachelor’s Degree in the Computer Technology field, such as IS, IT, or Computer Science
▪Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and management.
▪Demonstrated 5-7 years as IT analyst directly associated to the type of responsibilities listed 
▪Have a good knowledge and understanding of the CCES (Waterfall, Agile) and Cobit methodologies
▪Understanding of financial and accounting expense reporting 
▪Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment
▪Have a constant concern for information quality and timeliness
▪Excellent in using MS Office suite (including Visio)
▪Excellent written presentation skills (including Power Point)
▪Excellent English and French oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with technical as well as business partners
